Since their formation in 2010, Slidin’ About have performed on a regular basis across the country. As well as performing their own innovative arrangements the quartet have commissioned new works, helping to show how versatile the trombone quartet can be. They have won the Foden’s Quartet Competition and have been finalists in both the Philip Jones Brass Ensemble Prize and the Royal Over-Seas League Chamber Music Competition. Slidin’ About have also been featured on BBC Radio 3’s ‘In Tune’.
Slidin’ About are proud to be active in musical education. They have worked with young people extensively across the country, including in ‘Pupil Referral Units’ and ‘Special Educational Needs and Disabilities’ schools. Their unique relationship with Warwick Music as pBone Ambassadors enables them to give a truly hands on approach for all ages and abilities. The quartet have also been artists with the Live Music Now charity since 2013 and continue to develop a range of musical experiences and performances.
