“Your concert for this year’s Thaxted Festival was a great success. It came across clearly that you all very much enjoyed performing and the audience felt they were joining in the fun. The programme was very varied, both classics and jazz, in your skillful arrangements. We also admired the variety of timbres and dynamics which you produced as you deployed your extensive repertoire of mutes – not to mention the pink trombones! Well done!” – Gareth Stainer, Artistic Director: Thaxted Festival
Greatly enjoyed your concert last night at St James’ Daisy Hill – a wide range of music beautifully played. I was particularly impressed by the arrangements written by members of the quartet. Very many thanks for an inspiring evening. – Phillip Heathcote, Audience Member
“The children had a fantastic time both watching, listening and taking part with all having the opportunity to play the trombone themselves.” – St Stephen’s School, Tockholes
“Our students had a really fantastic afternoon with the brilliant Slidin About, the skills they mastered and demonstrated in our concert were remarkable – an unforgettable experience! Thanks again for a really brilliant afternoon. It was highly enjoyable!” – Holmes Chapel Comprehensive School

“Paul and Steve have been amazing working with some of our most challenging pupils. Not only did they manage to engage them in the sessions over several weeks but managed to provide some of the pupils with enough confidence and self esteem to enable them to perform in the end of term assembly. This was fantastic as Paul and the group performed well know hits that staff and pupils loved. Thanks again for all your work.” – Clifford Holroyde Specialist College
We were so excited to hear about Slidin About and felt they would bring something special and different to our wedding day. The boys were friendly, thoughtful and professional, keeping in touch in the run up to the big day and playing a fun and varied set which we and all our guests loved. – Alison Ward, Bride
I am writing to say thank you! ‘Slidin’ about’ was a joy to listen to. A repertoire of light, well–known music helped the garden party go with a swing. Guests, young and old, enjoyed your playing and, as hosts, we were delighted that you found a way to keep going even when the rain was coming down in stair-rods! – Peter Dixon, Party Host
Slidin. About played at a wedding we attended in July 2015. They played during the reception and played a variety of different music to suit all tastes. It was really great entertainment and such a pleasure to listen to. In addition – they’re just a great bunch of guys! Highly recommended to play at any function – they will tailor their reportoire to any requirements. Love them! – Lizzie Rabin, Wedding Guest
My brother loved the quartet and everyone commented on how the music was just right, thanks! – Claire Jarvis, Party Host
